Two similar self-catering holiday apartments next to each other and near Lake Bolsena - Italy. Accommodation rental is weekly, starting on a Friday. The apartments each have two double bedrooms ideally suited for a family going on holiday with children wanting to visit the many beautiful cities and sights of central Italy whilst spending the odd day's holiday relaxing on the beach or doing water sports. The accommodation affords views and access to woodland beyond which lies beautiful Lake Bolsena. An ideal location for family holidays in central Italy. You may see pictures on our photo page.

Description of the area surrounding Lake Bolsena and the apartments for rent

The holiday apartment is at the edge of the woodland surrounding Lake Bolsena shores. Both lake and coast are within easy reach (Marina di Montalto di Castro). The mediaeval village of Valentano is a ten minute drive away from the holiday apartment and lake bolsena. Since antiquity the village has been well known for the stunning views it has over the beautiful landscape and valley below. Its origins are Etruscan and it is believed to have been known as Verentium by the Romans.

Being on the Tuscany/Latium border, the cities of Rome, Viterbo, Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Assisi and many other cities and sites of interest are all within easy reach of the holiday apartment and Lake Bolsena. The sculptures of the Bomarzo gardens, the Romanic church at Tuscania with a history of well over 1000 years and Orvieto, shown below, and its cathedral (and wine) are famous for the beautiful renaissance paintings by Signorelli. All are within easy reach of the holiday accommodation at Lake Bolsena.

Don't forget to pay the ancient Etruscans a visit as this area is particularly rich in things to see and discover of the people who first reigned in Rome. The ancient Etruscans, their tombs, frescoes, and treasures are just round the corner at sites like Vulci, Norchia and Cerveteri adding that extra sense of discovery and adventure to the holiday.

The self-catering apartment is on the upper ground floor. It has two double bedrooms, a sitting room, bathroom and kitchen area. Each apartment is fully equipped.

Rentals of the holiday accommodation include laundry, washing machine, television-Radio. The apartment kitchen-sittingroom includes a fireplace. The bathroom is with bath and shower. The private balcony looks directly out onto pine woodland beyond which lies Lake Bolsena. There is parking outside the holiday apartments and a small front garden for barbecues. We have set up a photo page with picture enlargements of the accommodation rooms.

Shops are within walking distance and there is also a supermarket within a one minute drive of the accommodation.

This self-catering accommodation gives you all you require: comfort as well clean light, inspiration and room to breathe inspiration. An excellent base for your cultural trips around renaissance italy, activities or simply resting and relaxing.	The accommodation, by woodlands and lake bolsena, was set up with our own family holidays in mind. Salubrious surroundings (as you can see from this picture), activities and things to see around the lake bolsena not to mention the many places you can easily visit such as Siena, Orvieto, Maremma, Rome. Italy!
